in the committee of voters of ukraine (kiu) reported, that 31 parliamentarians became deputies of regional councils in the local elections held on october 25, but the people's representatives are in no hurry to resign their mandate.
“about 50 people's deputies ran in local elections, mainly in regional councils. we analyzed how many such deputies won. according to the electoral committee, 31 mps won the elections to the regional councils, ”said analyst kiu denis rybachok at a press conference at the interfax-ukraine agency on friday.
according to him, most of all were elected to the volyn regional council - five people's deputies (all - nominated by the party "for the maybut"), four - to the khmelnytsky regional council, three each - to the lvov, vinnytsia and odessa regional councils.
the expert recalled that according to the law it is impossible to work simultaneously in two councils, to have two representative mandates.
“will we see a massive outflow of mps from parliament? by 99.9% you can be sure that the situation with the number of people's deputies in parliament will not change, ”the fisherman predicts.
according to him, parliamentarians will not exchange their parliamentary mandate in the verkhovna rada, they are already preparing statements and resigning from positions in regional councils received in local elections. instead, the next voters on the list will become local deputies.
"we regard such actions, first of all, as a deception of voters and a way to manipulate the opinion of citizens," the fisherman summed up, adding that this is the traditional scheme of getting more votes for parties.
in his opinion, “legislative protections” should be developed to avoid such a situation in the future.
